Modern Therapy, Rooted in Human Connection.
Meet Morgan
Hi, I’m Morgan Vazquez (she/her), a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and mom of two, based in California. I help high-achieving, overwhelmed moms who are burnt out from people-pleasing, perfectionism, and carrying the invisible load—finally feel grounded, confident, and connected in both motherhood and their relationships.
But before I was a therapist, I was a woman trying to hold it all together.
I know what it’s like to look like you have it all together on the outside—but feel like you’re crumbling on the inside. For years, I lived in a loop of anxiety, over-responsibility, and self-silencing. I said “yes” when I meant “no,” ignored my own needs to keep the peace, and constantly second-guessed my worth.
Like so many women I now support, I found myself asking: Does it have to feel this hard?
That question became my mission.
After years of personal healing, professional training, and walking through the fire of motherhood myself—I became the therapist I once needed: someone who sees you fully, speaks truth with compassion, and offers real tools that bring real relief.
Why Postpartum & Motherhood Care? Because I’ve lived it.
After I became licensed, I had my second child—and everything I thought I knew changed.
I experienced postpartum depression during the peak of the pandemic. I was isolated, exhausted, and unraveling. Later, I faced the heartbreak of miscarriage. These moments cracked me open—and revealed just how invisible and under-supported mothers are, especially when it comes to emotional and relational well-being.
No one talks about how becoming a mom can completely shake your sense of identity.
Or how lonely it feels to share a life—and a baby—with your partner but feel like strangers.
Or how heavy the mental load becomes when you're the one everyone counts on.
So I decided to talk about it.
And I built a practice where moms could finally exhale, feel seen, and find a way forward.
This work isn’t just my profession. It’s my purpose.
What I Do Now
In my private practice, I offer virtual therapy to adult women (ages 18–40) across California. I support clients who feel anxious, unseen, burnt out, and stuck in “doing it all.” Many are navigating the roommate phase in their marriage, struggling with mom guilt, people-pleasing, and trying to remember who they are outside of motherhood.
My approach is grounded in relational therapy and emotion-focused work, while also integrating cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic models. Together, we work on rebuilding confidence, honoring your identity, and creating relationships that feel safe and connected again.
A Little About My Background
I earned my Master’s in Psychology: Marriage & Family Therapy from CSU, Chico in 2018. Before that, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from CSU, Sacramento. I’ve worked in non-profit organizations, schools, and county mental health settings, where I was trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I’ve provided therapy and crisis support for adults, teens, and children, and facilitated both individual and group work with survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence.
These experiences gave me a wide lens into human behavior—but becoming a mother gave me the heart-centered passion I bring to this work today.
